We are in a Title I school, which has a poverty index of 77.8%. Many of our children are raised by single parents, grandparents, or other family members. This definitely poses a challenge in teaching, because many of these children are not exposed to a variety of learning opportunities.
Our classroom is made up of 23 kindergarteners that are full of energy and are ready to learn.

My Project
These book baggies will give my students the opportunity to keep up with their own independent books that we are using daily! These bags will help students to easily store their books. Right now, my students are using their cubby space to store their books, where they can easily get torn, lost, or mixed with other students' books. With these durable bags, students are able to keep their books all in one, safe place! Since my students are starting to read, they are so excited about books! Help me give them a special place where they can keep their books!
