Wanted: Classroom Rug for Learning!
My students need a new rug to have a spot to sit during circle time.
The rug is where most of the learning happens in our classroom. We begin and end each day sitting on our rug for circle time, sharing, reading, singing, learning and most importantly having fun!
I teach in a kindergarten through second grade special day class.
There are currently 8 students in my classroom, 5 kindergarten and 3 first graders. My students are 5 to 7 years of age who are eager to learn and love attending school. My students without a doubt deserve a beautiful rug to gather together to read, sing, dance, and learn.
My students would really appreciate your help in getting us a nice colorful rug that we can continue to learn on. It would be wonderful to have a designated spot for each student on the rug. A classroom rug with a spot for everyone would make our time on the rug even more special. They will have their own special spot on the rug and they would look forward to sitting on it everyday as we commence our learning experience. No more tape with each students name written on it with a sharpie. No more having to replace the tape every few days as it starts to come off. Instead, our new rug will have a spot to call their own.
This rug will not only bring smiles to my students faces, but will continue to be a place where learning occurs for many years.
For most of these students, they will continue their learning experience in my classroom until they reach second grade and a designated spot on the rug will make their experience even more special. With your help this rug will help create life time memories for the students of room 4. Thank you in advance for your help. Your donation of any size is well appreciated.
