My students need an enriched library to meet famous characters and choose classic Titles that will guide their love of reading! We need books such as Cam Jensen and Arthur series.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first grade students are arriving soon! What better way to welcome them to first grade than with a classic story pulled right from their classroom library?
My goal this year is for my students to fall in love with reading.
Just think back to your years in elementary school; do any of these fascinating characters come to mind when you think of great books; Clifford, Arthur, Amelia Bedelia, Frog and Toad, Junie B Jones, Cam Jansen, Henry and Mudge? The list goes on and on. A classroom library that is overflowing with well-known characters and popular titles is something my students deserve. An array of themed books to read is exactly what our classroom is missing!
My Project
It is the Worcester Public Schools goal for 2016 to focus on literacy in the classroom! Our classroom is in need of familiar and classic book characters to engage students journey to reading fluently. I dream that my students will fall in love with certain characters from a story and want to read more and more adventures about them!
Your generous donations to this project will help with guiding our young learners to read more.
They will find a special character; maybe a hero or someone just like them. We will then be able to continue reading several adventures about that same character; allowing for our curiosities to continue from book to book!
