This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
So far this year, DonorsChoose has been a huge help to my students and to myself. My students have been able to tap into their creative sides while having the necessary materials to do so. My students are very bright and they just want school to be enjoyable. My Spanish class is highly project-based and in order to complete the projects in the hallways and in the classrooms, they are in need of a few supplies.
My Project
These items will allow students to get more experience with utilizing Cricut machines and the supplies needed to operate them. Many students are working alongside me to add a little razzle-dazzle to the classroom walls and walls in the hallway to depict more of the Spanish culture, especially during the holidays. Students will utilize the card stock paper along with the mats to design letters for the classroom and projects. The hot glue gun and its hot glue sticks will also be used to stabilize bigger projects and act as wall adhesive for the letters and other items made with their machines. My students are very creative and they love to think outside of the box in terms of different activities and things we can do as a group to improve the overall look of the school. It is important for the school to look welcoming to students and those on the outside.
