How many times have you fallen asleep while reading? Can you remember the teacher who made you read the most boring books of your life? I bet you can!
Well, I want to provide my student with books that they are excited to read and can't put down!
My students are 5th graders reading at a 3rd grade level.
Falling asleep during independent reading time is what they do best! I need to excite them and provide them with books that they LOVE to read. I need to spice up my library in order to entice the students and motivate them to pick up a book on their own.
My Project
The items requested will help the students become better readers in a fun way. They will enjoy their new titles and be engaged while they read. Most of my students have never heard of Barnes & Noble and their families rarely buy them books. It is MY job to provide my students with the resources they need to succeed as students and become better readers.
The best part of this proposal is that the students will share the new books.
The books will spice up the classroom library and students can enjoy them every year!!! The requested materials can also be shared with students from other classes!!!
