My students need laser pointers to trace their words on the ceiling and the play doh to trace their words on mats to help them practice their sight words.
My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous. They like to move, they love to read, and they love lots of positive attention.
I am looking to provide my students with engaging, creative, and meaningful learning experiences.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me.
The students in my school come from many different backgrounds. They are proud of their life experiences and cultures and we celebrate our differences and similarities within our classrooms.
The community in which our school resides is extremely supportive of our endeavor to provide the best possible education where students are both challenged and supported.
My Project
My Kindergartners love hands-on learning activities, one thing they do not always enjoy is practicing their sight words. I am always looking for fun and interactive ways for my students to practice learning new words.
We would use the play doh to make the words on a mat to help kinesthetic learners practice words.
We would use the laser pointers to lie on our backs with the lights off and trace the words we are practicing on the ceiling. I am hoping that these new ways to practice our words will be engaging for my students and get them excited to practice their sight words.
