My Students

My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities. Our school is considered a low income school and our funding is very limited. We welcome all students to our fantastic school community and celebrate our diverse population. We have a transient population with many special needs and our staff works tirelessly to meet those needs. Even with these challenges and differences, our staff strives to provide engaging lessons to build excitement for learning in all academic areas. Our students desire a deeper and richer understanding of science and eager to learn!

My Project

Students at our school will be participating in STEAM day and Wacky Science is just what we need. Dr. Science provides engaging activities for students of all ages. His presentations are filled with science fun that is done with everyday household items used in creative and unexpected ways. Dr. Science is needed to create a visual experience and help students see that science is truly amazing and a part of everyday life. Dr. Science will be conducting science experiments with both our primary and intermediate students during 2 different assemblies. These experiments will be aligned with our state science standards and will help promote a love for science with all of our students with STEAM activities. Experiments will include topics such as solids, liquids, gases, energy, chemical reactions, and so much more!
