Help me give my students a VR system in order to safely experience to help a fresh perspective on history, science, culture, and more. It will provide a interactive and engaging academic escape from COVID-19 stress.

My awesome scholars are located in Washington, DC. Although they face widespread poverty and a high crime rate in a low-income and under-resourced area, our school has a great tradition and great pride.
Education is a long-term solution to poverty, which is why it is essential that all students are afforded the same opportunities to have equal access to interactive academic software and technology, regardless of their disability and socio-economic factors.
Schools that integrate entertaining and engaging virtual academic programs with audio/visual supports into their curriculum are proven to capture the interest of students and teachers alike. Ocrevus virtual devices are a gateway into space, a visual tour of human anatomy, interactive chemistry, and even a virtual exploration of world-wide geography and tours of exhibits from inside the classroom or home during hybrid learning.
A child’s success or failure isn’t only determined by cognitive skills, as once thought; Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and team building are most related to character, including grit, optimism, and self-awareness. Integrating virtual academic games and interactive lessons improves grades, while building ones confidence, leadership, and team-building skills as students discuss what they see and experiences in the vast virtual space.
Oculus has began launching three experiences to help students get a fresh perspective on history, science, culture, and more. This includes BREAKING BOUNDARIES IN SCIENCE; TITANIC UNDERWATER & SURVIVOR EXPERIENCE; and HOOVER DAM: INDUSTRIAL (STEM). Other Ocrulus software includes human anatomy, chemistry, solar system, etc.
VR will play an increasingly important role in our education as the industry continues to evolve, and these experiences provide a glimpse at what’s possible with immersive storytelling.
Our VR system will be used in our classroom during hybrid learning. Students will rotate the device and engage in classroom discussions and document the evidence they collected in order to write a narrative about the content, based on their interactive experiences.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not the physical distance in our room. Plus, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
