Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my Title I preschool classroom are a mixture of three, four, and five year old. They love to to be read to and have active imaginations.

Even though we are a preschool room, we hold ourselves to a high standard to make sure we are ready for kindergarten.

This can be a difficult task due to the multiple age levels in the classroom but with age appropriate activities, lessons and small group instruction we will be successful.

My Project

Each school year, students come to school already comfortable with technology, mostly tablets/iPads. They already know how to turn them on, find apps, and use them to complete math and reading activities.

Now it is time to take our technology and learning to the next level.

My class needs headphones to help using and learning with iPads a more personal experience. Twenty preschoolers using their tablets with the volume up, it can get pretty noisy. The headphones would help eliminate extra noise and make it easier for the students to hear and complete their assignments. These headphones would help each child learn and achieve whatever goals!
