I teach introduction to engineering for eighth graders at a charter middle school in California.
As part of our initiative to close the gap for minority youth in math, science, and technology, we have incorporated an engineering course to culminate their course work throughout middle school.
Engineering lab experiments are becoming costlier for our school. We are lacking key equipment to really provide a hands-on experience for science and engineering. Voltmeters help connect the theory and application together by having our students work out the math and verifying it with authentic experiments.
Your help will further support our mission in encouraging our minority youth, especially our young women, to explore careers in science, math, and engineering.
