My students need 6 Pass Rite Training tools to play volleyball, which keeps my girls off the street and more focused on school.
This project expired on January 21, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
This weekend, 30 people were shot in the area surrounding my school. My volleyball players have no stability in their lives and rely on my after-school program to stay off the streets. As a coach in a Title 1 school in one of the worst areas of a city, it is difficult to obtain funding for my team.
My girls are bright, active young ladies who face extraordinary situations at home and in the street.
My school population is close to 40% Special Needs and is 100% below the poverty level.
Students who are involved in after-school programs are much more successful and focused on school. They stay late, they practice every day, and they put their heart into the game.
My students have nothing. Sometimes all they need is one thing they are good at. For some of my girls, volleyball is that one thing.
I believe strongly in my girls, and I want to develop a program that gives them something.
I am requesting Pass Rite. This training device is ideal for improving ball contact and control. It is pivotal for my girls to improve their very basic form for volleyball. When beginning a volleyball program, it is important to expect the best and show the girls what other school might have. These tools are high-tech and effective. They are also something that these girls have never seen or heard of. Experiencing the trainer alone will make an impact.
Your donations to this project will help high school girls from the ages of 14 to 18.
They are inner-city girls with personality and desire. They strive to be great and need successful programs to help give them the training they want. Please fund this project as a start to a program that will help girls in my school for years to come.
