This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a low income/ high poverty background. They have not had the same opportunities as other students, yet they are hard workers full of integrity and compassion. They have a curiosity about the world beyond their neighborhood.

I love inspiring a love of music with my students.

They have a desire to learn and to work with each other. Their eyes light up when they hear a song that they performed. I love to see them proud of their accomplishments and hard work.

My Project

All students in every grade level have a performance that they present for the school and their parents as well as band concerts and talent shows. The school also uses the stage for presentations, parent involvement nights, guest speakers, and graduations and promotions.

Having overhead microphones will help for the audience to hear all of their hard work singing and speaking.

It will cut down on dead time for students to pass the microphones back and forth and the audience will hear them better. It will also let the students hear each other so they offer improvements as well as encouragement.
