My Students

The students I teach are in the LCCE pathway at their high school and one of their classes is Vocational Studies. All the students in this class do have an IEP and are here to learn hands-on job skills and what it takes to be a good employee and a good citizen. My students would benefit from different types of tools that will allow them to practice these skills. These job tasks allow even our students who require one-on-one assistance to complete and feel accomplished doing.

My Project

If this project is funded this will allow for our special education students in the vocational skills class practice real life skills. Shredding is a job that all of our students are able to do with the least amount of adult assistance. The vacuums will allow our students to practice this skill not only for work but for home as well.

These items will make a huge impact to our classroom as we are unable to have students do these types of projects at home.

Our students have been impacted by COVID in many more ways than people will understand. When they can not be in the class working one-on-one with adults and working with their peers with hands-on learning, it makes it very difficult for them. The students will be excited to have them. Thank you for helping us. We will put them to good use.
