Help me give my students games that will help them develop their English vocabulary. The dry erase boards will be to show and practice what they have learned. The privacy folders will help me assess for future learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When students step into my classroom, most of them are being immersed in an all English classroom for the very first time. My main goal is to get them to fall in love with books because this will set them up for success for the rest of their lives.
Sadly, poverty is a common factor among my students.
Most of them are considered to be of low economic status. Their parents work 2-3 jobs, and many times, cannot read or write themselves. School is the only time when some of my students receive any kind of academic support.
They are eager to learn, and I am eager to provide the most supportive environment possible!
My Project
My students' biggest challenge is learning how to speak, read, and write in a new language. Many times they become frustrated with the day to day work. This new school year, my plan is to take on a different, more interactive approach to helping them develop the language. Learning through games will help them get excited about new words!
Interactive learning is the key to success.
Using the dry erase boards, students can quiz each other, write, draw, label, and even show me what they have learned.
The privacy folders will help me get accurate data when assessing their learning.
