More than half of students from low‑income households

My students need practice with oral, written, and listening vocabulary.
Our community has been faced with the loss of several major industries closing in recent years. Seventy percent of our students are receiving free and reduced-priced lunches.
Our class is made up of 20 third graders.
We are all very active in after school, extra curricular activities such as gymnastics, football, baseball, softball, and cheerleading. We are a small (but ever growing) rural school located in the southern region of the United States.
The resources I have requested will allow my students access to thousands of spelling and vocabulary lists and activities to enrich the learning that is ongoing within our classroom. The program allows students to pretest, review, quiz, play games, and finally test spelling words and vocabulary words we use in our classroom every day.
By donating to this project, you will be supporting students who otherwise would not have an opportunity to have this type of access to this program.
The students, their parents, our school, school system, nor myself can afford to purchase individual access to Spelling City. I hope to enrich their lives as well as their vocabulary with this program.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
