My classroom is filled with a diverse group of third grade students. They bring with them many experiences and come from a multitude of backgrounds. Each of my students has unique talents and abilities that amaze me on a daily basis. They all share a desire to learn and do well. It is my job to help them reach their full potential, foster a love for learning, and motivate them to always want to learn more. It is equally important for me to identify the challenges they face and to find ways to help the students overcome them.
My third graders come to me full of energy and curiosity about the world around them.
They are exceptional, each child bringing something unique to our class! With different strengths and weaknesses, I strive to foster an environment in which they help each other and challenge each other to be the best they can be.
My Project
I have an awesome group of eager learners. They have unique personalities, talents, families, and challenges. This year they have one challenge in common. They are spending their entire third grade year learning in my virtual classroom. During my 30 years of teaching experience, I have never had a class of learners facing such an incredible challenge.
My students are rising to the challenge of Distance Learning, and meeting it with positive attitudes and determination.
A huge challenge we face each day is that our third grade curriculum was designed for in person learning, and my students are learning 100% remotely. They need high interest and interactive digital curriculum resources. TeachersPayTeachers has high quality resources that are designed for remote learning. Using a TPT gift card, I would be able to purchase digital activities that are both engaging and interactive. These activities will engage my students and capture their attention so they can continue to build their reading and math skills during this extended period of on-line learning.
