My Students

In middle school, students learn about human anatomy as part of their general science. We teach system through reading text, videos, diagrams. Students like learning about system as they can connect to the content and it also answer their questions about their own physiology. They also compare their own physiology with other students.

Understanding physiology through scientific data and illustration keeps them very excited.

But the content also comes with some challenges like how different system works together in an organism and heavy vocabulary. For the students with special need and English language learner it becomes even challenging. So as a teacher it is my primary responsibility to keep them involved and engaged.

My Project

Oculus Go can help my students to learn about anatomy using the app Anatomy 4D. With this system, students will be able to interact and learn about human systems and how different organ systems works together.

Learning about Human anatomy is interesting and challenging for the middle school students.

Although we use multiple modes of teaching - videos, models and text but it is still challenging for students to visualize everything together, especially the spacial orientation.

Anatomy is introduced in middle school but the learning continues till high school. It is important part of the curriculum in NGSS curriculum both middle and high school. It is important to learn about structure in middle School so that the students can focus more on the function in high school.
