This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 2-5th grade special needs children in Newark, NJ. a low-income urban city. They are hard-working kids who need a little extra support. Our district relies on funding through grants to supplement our budget and provide our learners with all their necessary materials. I provide classroom and small group services based on their IEPs. They would benefit immensely from being provided color coated assignments to help specific important details stand out.

My Project

I am hoping to purchase a color printer with ink because currently, I am not able to print materials I have modified for my students with special needs. I need to offer printed copies of color-coded notes, modified versions of assignments, visuals representations of concepts, and other colorful materials for my learners. Having access to a color printer will allow me to provide modifications as per their IEPs.

Please help me access a color printer to supply these materials to my learners and provide additional support after the mainstream teacher offers.

Additionally, this can be a resource for students who don't have a printer at home and need to print their homework.
