Help me give my students the Ladibug Document Camera to help with visual learning and demos of art projects!
This project expired on July 7, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our students are from all different walks of life. We serve low income as well as high achieving students. Our school is situated in one of the most diverse locations in San Diego with one of the most diverse populations and this is something that I hope to explore through art and our community.
Our students overcome obstacles everyday working with each other and the different backgrounds of our school.
They overcome the obstacles with grace, warmth, and community connections.
As of now, my students are having a hard time understanding the process of some projects. I have been doing art demos from a table in the center of the room. The students can not really see every step I do and how I create certain art from a flat surface. Some students end up gathering around the table, but that blocks the view of others.
Having a document camera would help my students through visual learning.
The will be able to see on the television what is going on and how they are able to achieve certain art forms. I cover auditory learning when verbalizing each step and kinesthetic learning when we actually get our hands on the projects. However, I think I can improve the visual aspect with a document camera, and I think their learning will improve greatly!
