My students are absolutely brilliant. They are always striving to accomplish our goals for the day with a positive attitude. Each student enjoys learning and they all have the desire to learn more. My students are respectful to their teachers and to their classmates and understand that they have the responsibility for their own learning. With that, they know how to work together and help each other learn. We are a classroom full of young students who are growing each and every day to become the best learners and best human beings that they can possibly be.
My Project
All of my students enjoy hands-on activities that allow them to be creative. Every student in my classroom has the desire to read and become the best reader they can be. This pocket chart would be an awesome advantage in our classroom because the students can use this during literacy centers to help them read, build words, and recognize letter sounds through pictures and words.
The pocket chart and stand will play many roles throughout our school day.
It will be great to use during writing when teaching students how to build sentences and during math when we talk about patterns and number lines.
Being a first year teacher, I realized very quickly how important time management is in the classroom. The students and I will use this magnetic timer to keep track of our class time throughout all of the different subjects that we cover throughout the day. We look forward to using it during literacy centers and having it help us stay on track and focus on our tasks at hand. My students like to ask me how much time they have to complete a task. This timer will help my students stay on track and know how much time they have to accomplish their tasks. This will enhance the environment of my classroom and help us complete our goals for the day in a timely manner.
