My Students

I just started working as a kindergarten teacher in a K-12 school. The town is pretty small and has an amazing community feel. There is a strong Native American community within the area. More than half of the students are from low-income homes. The school is able to provide the elementary students with free breakfast and lunch to help provide for these students. There is a high need for special education within the school to help with the behaviors of the students. My students are so excited to be in school and soak up all the knowledge that is provided to them. They are excited learners and I am so excited for this year and to be their teacher.

My Project

The current easel I have is starting to fall apart. The whiteboard part of it is ripping off which making writing on it hard. It has been very loved by many educators and students. If I could get a new one, my students would have a great tool to aid in their learning journey. We use our current easel every day for every lesson. I have a lot of visual learners and my students are very hands-on. They love to participate in the learning process. I love trying to make learning more fun and hands-on. This tool would be a great asset to our whole group learning.
