My students need a document camera to help them with writing. This camera will allow them to share their writing and model for other students.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school is located in a very rural county with only a few commercial industries, causing us to have limited funding. We are a Title I school. Over 50% of the students in our school come to us with little or no spoken English. During K4 and K5, our teachers spend most of the year teaching them how to speak English. We also have students who come for their first year with no spoken English in the 1st, 2nd or even a higher grade. Their families have minimal resources.
The document camera is an excellent tool for increasing content clarity. It will allow me the technology needed to model to my students exactly what is being asked of them and give them a clear example of my expectations.
Students love to show off their work.
This document camera will give me the opportunity to project students' work across disciplines and best of all build their self-esteem.
It is also a great extension to the smart board for visual learners. They will benefit from seeing instructions, small items, demonstrations and more. It will add active engagement to student work. Another bonus is it will cut down on copy expenses by using a document camera to project notes, quizzes, and worksheets that I would otherwise photocopy.
