My Students

Half of my students will start school for the very first time in August. The other half will start school in January. We are a Title I school serving many low-income families. My students come from varied backgrounds including a variety of primary languages spoken in their homes. All of my Pre-K students are so excited to begin their adventure in learning!

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing an excitable group of four-year-old students enjoy their first taste of learning in a school setting.

Boys and girls of varying abilities from varied backgrounds begin working and learning together. We need supplies that will expose them to new ideas and experiences while providing them the perfect chance to begin communicating with their new friends.

My Project

A grocery store/lemonade stand will provide the perfect setting for dramatic play in our PreK classroom! Students will take turns role playing as sellers and buyers.

Our little learners will be excited to communicate and play together as they pretend to buy and sell both new and familiar items.

They will learn to cooperate with their classmates as they take on the roles of customers and employees in their very own store. They will also expand their vocabulary as they use their background knowledge and imagination to change the store from a grocery to a fruit stand, a bakey, or a very cool lemonade stand!
