My students are learners! Despite living in a rural area with a high percentage of low SES, my kindergartners love to learn. They are not afraid to try and fail.
The greatest trait of this class is that they are team players.
They enjoy helping each other to solve problems. This makes STEAM projects a highlight in our class. It is so exciting to hear them talk with each other and record their outcomes.
This computer will enable me to consistently provide teaching videos, hold ZOOM Classes, and create projects for them. I have been in a desperate need to upgrade my classroom computer for a few years. With love and gentleness, we have made it to now.
Since becoming an overnight Virtual Teacher, my current laptop randomly shuts down in the middle of providing my students with virtual learning opportunities.
This has become frustrating for them and me. Our favorite part of meeting up each week is seeing and encouraging each other. It is so hard for 6-year-olds to be cut off from what they know as their support system and our meetings sure seem to help them and me!
Please help me provide my students with as many more learning opportunities as possible during this time. They are an awesome group and have even worked together to virtually help each other with wifi and other technical problems. These Kindergartners deserve to have as many learning opportunities as possible!
