Help me give my students an Apple 10.2 IPAD, a Lamicall Tablet Stand with screen protector and case, and also an OKIOLABS OKIOCAM T USB Camera to be the best virtual teacher I can be!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are 5th graders at a Title I school. Many of my students are Hispanic and in ESL. My students struggle with language barriers, but they are very critical thinkers. When given math tasks or science experiments they are very deep thinkers. Often times, they are not rewarded or recognized for all of their talents because schools often focus on English Language Arts.
I want my hard-working students to realize their potential.
I want them to know they do not have to simply follow their parents' lead, but create their own path as our future engineers and technicians. They have the passion and the drive and all we need now are some resources!
My Project
Our classroom will be virtually amazing with a 10.2 Apple IPad (complete with a case, screen protector, and stand). I love finding new and exciting apps to make our classroom interesting and engaging while on Microsoft Teams. A tablet would allow me to interact better than a laptop on my screen to effectively teach math and science.
In addition, a Docucam would allow my students to see me work out problems to easily understand the steps to solve problems and record my steps while working them out.
Writing on the screen tends to be confusing, and a new Docucam would make solving easier.
With the combination of an IPAD and Docucam, I can be more successful at delivering instruction while teaching virtually. I want my students to be prepared for their futures and I want to do all I can to engage, challenge, and motivate my students to learn.
