Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in their senior year of high school, ranging from Honors students to those with IEPs and 504s in my inclusion class. I have the pleasure of teaching all of the 12th graders, seeing that it is the smallest grade in the school. This just makes it easier to have strong relationships with each of my students.

With this year starting virtually, as so many teachers, I am in unchartered territory.

My co-teaching and I want to provide the best instruction possible, even if we are not in the classroom. We want to make sure that we are giving our students everything they need in their final year of high school so that they can succeed in the future.

My Project

As we are beginning this school year from home, my co-teacher and I want our students to feel as if the were still learning within our classrooms. We want to get whiteboards so that students can still see our lessons and instructions as they would if we were in school.

Our goal is to keep our instruction at a high level and continuous, outside the classroom, or in a hybrid model--with all the uncertainty going on currently, we want our students to know however they "enter" our class, there will be learning going on!
