Help me give my students a pair of head phones, readers, a notebook, pencils, a pencil pouch, a dry erase board, and markers. This will make virtual learning that much easier.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The COVID pandemic has changed our life. Who knew that when school closed March of 2020, that it would reopen in late August 2020 in a virtual capacity. I have a group of eager to learn first graders. They turn their electronic devices on each morning ready for what the day has to bring to them. My boys and girls all aspire to become great readers and number geniuses.
Virtual learning was new to us all.
These vibrant first graders had little to no computer use. They live in a low economic area and was not introduced to the technology that higher economic areas use. Nevertheless, my students are always smiling and ready to learn. The excitement that my boys and girls have to learn makes it that much easier to teach them.
My Project
The headphones will help my virtual learners stay focused on class. They will now be able to block back ground distractions. My boys and girls really enjoy learning new words. The sight word readers will be just the books they need to help expound their vocabulary.
The notebook, pencils, pencil bag, white board, and dry erase markers will give my boys and girls the necessities to work at home.
These students will now have something to write with and something to write on.
