Help me give my students virtual reality headsets so they can learn on a whole new level. Virtual reality headsets will allow them to travel the world, explore the oceans, go into space, and so much more.
Our school is a 100% magnet school, and is very competitive. The students who come here have worked extremely hard to be accepted. They are some of the best and brightest students in the county, and are the students who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
Our media center is undergoing a transformation, and technology will play an important role as we develop a media center for 21st century learners.
Students need to have access to books, but also need a media center that can meet their technology needs. Laptops, printers, and even 3D printers are already commonplace in most schools, so the next step is to provide students with virtual reality headsets to extend learning and make it more exciting and more effective.
Imagine being able to strap on a headset to take a trip to the Serengeti, explore the Great Barrier Reef, or climb the highest peak in the Himalayas? Imagine watching cells divide, blood flow through a body, and stars being born? All of this, and way more, is possible with virtual reality headsets.
Virtual reality creates a simulated environment and places students inside an experience.
Without ever leaving school students can be transported inside their bodies, or to the moon. The possibilities are endless! Studies have shown that students learn significantly more when they do something, rather than just hearing or reading about it. Virtual reality is a new frontier in education where students learn by going on amazing educational adventures. Please help me give my students these one-of-a-kind experiences.
