My Students
My students amaze me daily. They are eager to learn and solve problems. We need an iPod to bring in more technology in our classroom.
We need to expose our kids to all the opportunities technology can offer.
With limited income and resources, I would like to bring them materials that will help them in the jobs of the future. My students are technology driven individuals and show a lot of potential. With more resources, I know they will continue to do amazing things.
My Project
We purchased an inexpensive smartphone with our 1st DonorsChoose project to use with our virtual reality headsets but found that it was too old to load the applications that we needed to use. After more research, we found that an iPod touch would be less expensive than the newer smartphone options.
We can explore many places using virtual reality without leaving our classroom!
There are many apps available to load on the iPod touch, such as Star Chart and Discovery VR. We will connect the iPod touch to our headsets and let the learning begin! We can time travel to different events in our history, experience different careers firsthand, explore the depths of the ocean, and the vastness of space with this technology.
Having these resources available will improve our learning and understanding and prepare them for the future.
