My students are active, creative, thoughtful and inquisitive! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow personally and academically. Every day, they inspire me to come to school and do my personal best to help them grow.
These students thrive most in an environment that motivates them, supports them, and is accommodating to their needs.
Our class is a community of learners with the shared mission to grow academically, socially, and emotionally this year.
My Project
This project is a request for an iPad that will be used to assist students with virtual note-taking. The iPad will be used primarily as an instructional tool using Noteability. This gives me as the teacher the ability to join a Google Meet class (from school or from home) and take notes in real time with my students.
In the typical classroom, we gather together for language arts and math mini-lessons, but virtual learning has forced us to be innovative and creative in this area.
Using the iPad for Noteability will allow me to create the anchor charts typically made in front of the students on the carpet. The Noteability app will be a shared screen during our virtual meet-ups. As I write, students can write at home in their notebooks. This capability creates an authentic virtual learning experience that very closely mimics the in-person environment.
Using the iPad for Noteability also will allow me to save, share, and access previous notes and anchor charts instantaneously. Students, especially those with special needs classification, will benefit tremendously from the teacher's notes, visuals, and documents throughout their virtual learning experience.
