Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and AP Calculus to high school students in grades 9-12. My students are certainly special! They come from a wide range of backgrounds, many of them are first-generation high school graduates. Nearly 80% of them receive free and reduced lunch.

During these extremely tough times, I am trying to keep my students happy and helping them to live their best lives given the circumstances.

Happiness is what counts and is key to a great future.

My Project

My students have been virtually learning for 3 weeks now and I just don't have the resources to fully teach them. An iPad will allow me to upload their class notes, record specific examples for them to watch, and host live video chats with handwritten practice.

By donating to my project, you will not only help improve the virtually learning environment for my students, but enhance their academic learning experience which will better prepare them for next year!

Just think about the difference donating a few dollars can make to my students who are struggling to adjust to these new learning requirements.
