This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My preschool students are highly interested in beginner reading, science, and exploration. Our students are in need of supplies to start three school year out virtually. Many of our students come from diverse backgrounds and different economic needs therefore we are excited and eager to supply our students with the necessary materials that are needed for the start of the school year. My students are smart, energetic, and eager to learn. We are going virtual this year but we are in need of classroom supplies such as crayons, counting bear cards, science manipulation, math materials, writing materials, as well as art materials. Our goal is to fill boxes with materials for students to bring home for use for virtual learning.
My Project
As we approach the 2020/21 school year we are in need of a plethora of school supplies for remote learning. The materials and supplies that I am requesting will be utilized for remote learning and teach essential preschool subjects such as social and emotional, diversity, and art.
Some of the items used will be the child-sized mirrors which will be used for social and emotional learning.
We are also in need of art supplies such as dot to dot markers, and color craft sticks.
Diversity and cultural competence is essential, therefore we have included materials such as diverse make your own face with assorted hair, skin tone, and eye color just to name a few. We are asking for donations for our F.E. Childhood Center remote learning school year for take home student exploration packs.
