Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are extremely amazing and are diverse. Their ages seem to be the only common denominator. They are all unique, and each brings a different perspective to our melting pot.

It is a journey to discover how best to serve every single one of my students and get them ready for college and for life, and I am enjoying the ride.

Our school is a Title I school in Atlanta where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are facing many socioeconomic challenges that hinder their academic success. As I observe them interact with one another, enthused in a lesson, I regain my conviction that a future is possible and achievable for all my students.

My Project

This project will continue to provide my students with a collaborative and hands-on learning environment during this difficult time. Public school teachers have an amazing opportunity to teach our students virtually. If this project is funded, a Lenovo desktop computer and HP printer/scanner will ensure that the students receive an enriched learning environment.

Each material will have a major impact on my virtual classroom and student learning.

The Lenovo desktop with a camera feature will allow me to virtually communicate with my students and a printer/scanner will provide the opportunity to scan valuable resources to my students while prompting me to create a functioning and organized workspace.
