Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students love to learn and become very motivated with hands-on learning. My students come from a low-income, rural community, yet they continue to strive for improvement. Our school has a high migrant population and all of our students receive free lunch.
My classroom is full of eager learners who find value in learning.
They face daily life challenges at home, so I want to provide the best possible learning experience for them here at school! They come to school happy and ready to learn each and every day.
My Project
I am requesting supplies that my students need while learning from home. We are not allowed back into our schools until late April. Students will be learning from home for at least three weeks. I am very worried many students will not have the materials necessary to participate in online learning. Our district is providing technology and internet to students in need, but basic supplies like pencils, crayons, paper are currently not being provided. Students throughout the whole school will benefit from this project.
This project, once funded, will help provide take-home kits to ALL students who attend my school!!
Therefore I am requesting materials to build At Home Learning Kits. These kits will include pencils, construction paper, glue sticks, scissors, and a notebook. Students will be able to pick up the At Home Learning Kit from a designated area at school or parents can call and other arrangements can be made for pick up.
