My Students

Students enter my classroom each day knowing that they are the future of the world and it is their learning that will make them the leaders of tomorrow. My classroom is set up with 3D printers and other STEAM tools so that hands-on, learning experience is incorporated into each class. By the end of the year, I want my students to be at the forefront of a STEM education because junior engineers and scientists will be leading the way for the future.

Each student is unique in their own way, which makes learning that much more special.

My students love learning about the ever-changing world of science and are captured by the fact that every day brings new discoveries in science. The school is a welcoming environment that encourages higher-level learning while supporting the students at every step. The school houses over fourteen hundred, middle school students, who come from different ethnic backgrounds. In order to strengthen their learning experience, I want my students to utilize all the possible resources I can provide for them.

My Project

So many of my students are not truly succeeding at virtual learning because some things are just not as powerful as tangible paper worksheets. For my science class, I would love to incorporate paper merge cubes for the students to start learning about energy, but the reality is that not every student has a printer at home. In my virtual STEAM after school, we want to build scaled model houses, but not every student has graph paper or the ability to print out the graph paper.

I want to be able to print and send students the printouts that they need because not everything can be virtual.

However, learning must continue to push each student to their potential and having a printer would allow me to continue that push. I will print and send students the worksheets that they need, especially for those students who do not have access.
