Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who does not appreciate the use of technology. Students are always hungry to explore new technology devices. In the middle school level students are very use to having technology around them. Yet it becomes more challenging to provided them with such. My seventh graders would really benefit if they were exposed and allowed to work with technology. Being that Technology is used on a daily base around us.

My students are from a high poverty area with a great number of ELLS (English Language Learners) and also a high population of special need students.

My classroom consists mostly of second language learners, special education students, as well as some regular education students. Some GT (gifted and talented) that are ready to take ownership of their, learning to help them be successful in life.

My Project

Many of the times our students are only familiar with their hometown and don't realize how each place is different and full of history.

I am asking for a Virtual Reality headset kit so that my students will have the ability to travel virtually and explore unknown places without leaving their seats.

With these headsets, their minds will be exploring and traveling to other continents. They will also be able to look back at events that happened in history and this will give them the opportunity to feel what it was like in that moment. My students will be able to internalize first hand. Being able to travel virtually will also allow them to grow through this experience.
