Help me give my students lodging at Town and Country Hotel for our San Diego Virtual Enterprise Trade Show where we will be for our first trade show of the 2019-2020 school year.
SHS's Virtual Enterprise is a part of a global classroom simulation. Guided by a teacher-facilitator, business partners, and content experts, Virtual Enterprise students establish and manage a company that replicates the functions and demands of a real business. VE firms offer diverse products and services—from banking, insurance, and technology to publishing, advertising, app creation, tourism, and fashion. Students produce key deliverables and work in departments such as Administration, Accounting/Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and IT that are overseen by a (student) management team and CEO.
VE companies engage in trade with a network of simulated businesses across 42 countries using an online banking system.
Our 2018 - 2019 students had tremendous success in our first year including placing first in the nation in the Global Venture Challenge as well as seventh in the nation in the business plan competition.
This year's group looks to build upon that success. Any support you can provide our students as we travel the state of California competing in trade shows is greatly appreciated.
My Project
Virtual Enterprise is a global business simulation, that allows students to start and run their own business within a fictional economy. Virtual Enterprise allows students to gain valuable experience in Finance, HR, Advertising, Digital Media, Administration, and Salesmanship. Students travel to trade shows all over the state of California. This project is designed to help the kids get to the San Diego trade show. At the San Diego trade show, students will have the opportunity to compete in competitions such as elevator pitch, video commercial, radio commercial, trade show booth design, and salesmanship. Students are evaluated by business professionals and receive valuable feedback that they can learn from for our state trade show in January. Any support you can provide to them would be tremendous.
