This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have had the honor of being the art teacher at RPMS for the past 9 years. Over that time, I have watched countless students grow their skills and confidence in art to become amazing artists. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures and we use our art as a way to express those unique experiences.

My students have not had the ability to showcase their work in the past three school years due to Covid.

The addition of high-definition document cameras and lightboxes will allow them to learn to photograph their work, build an online portfolio, and showcase their art in our virtual galleries. They will learn about refining and presenting their artwork in a variety of ways.
