My Students

I am a special education teacher at a Title I school. My classroom is a self-contained classroom containing students with high special education needs. My students work on communication through pictures, gestures, and eye gazes. My students stay with me through their entire elementary grades K-5, so we develop a close bond over those 6 years. We do a modified curriculum, so we need a lot of hands-on materials because they do not use paper and pencil tasks. We also have access to a sensory room, and my students go to class with their general education peers when possible.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a great resource that I love to utilize. I have a wish list, which includes virtual bundles, that can help reach my students in their homes during virtual times and can be printed to use within the classroom.

From math and language arts to science, communication, and life skills lessons, these visual bundles will become a huge resource to benefiting learning where ever the student is.

I want to provide more resources for my families and opportunities for my students to engage in learning at any given moment. Your help would be much appreciated!
