Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come to school each day eager to learn, especially since they are extremely tech savvy. It is as if this generation is born with the ability to know how to figure how these technology platforms. However when they get home they are unable to complete their assignments because they lack the technology. With adequate resources I am able to provide more 21st century learning that will keep my students engaged and they can be more accountable for their success!

My Project

We are requesting eight Chromebooks. My Champions are quarantined at home due to COVID-19 and I have to provide quality distance learning for them. I teach science and we do lots of hands on experiments. Since we are unable to do this, I still need to provide a way for my Champions to perform experiments which helps them understand the concept more clearly. Not only will the Chromebooks allow my Champions to take part in the virtual labs, it will also allow them to simply do their assignments and turn them in. Lastly, through Zoom I am able to see my Champions' faces each day.
