My Students
My students are curious and critical thinkers. They are excited about engaging in the world and their reading selections should help them navigate it. In this new virtual classroom setting, connection is of the utmost importance. The discussions that will come from reading important works will help to foster that connection as we stay safe and continue to learn.
My Project
This book will be used by students at home to drive conversations and projects as we continue to learn in an online environment. The themes and ideas represented in this book are so important for young adults navigating our current cultural context. I am always so impressed with their ability to rise to the occasion and deepen their understanding of critical concepts. Through studying this book, and the life and career of Bryan Stevenson, students will see the necessity of proximity as seekers of justice and equity. I call my students World Changers and it is so true.
