My Students

My students are a diverse set of 15/16 year olds with lots of curiosity and initiative. Motivation is not a problem with this gang. They love to use tech in their learning and they love group learning and activities.

History students sometimes need to hear lectures twice for comprehension to occur.

Many students miss class for extra curricular activities and need the ability to play back what happened in class.

These students come from all over the Nashville metropolitan area and had to meet academic qualifications to attend this public magnet school.

My Project

The ability to play-back lectures from class will allow students to review material at their own pace.

Additionally students who miss class will be able to replay what they missed easily.

This item will also be used as I seek Board Certification and additional professional development opportunities to improve my instructional delivery and design.

Ability to receive coaching and mentoring will also be able to be made possible with more flexibility if mentors don't have to be in the classroom at the time of the lesson or lecture. This will become an invaluable tool as I work to improve distance learning for my students.
