How would you describe a typical day in your classroom?
We have a new class that involves Video Production. My students need items such as an iPad and cables to improve our video production lab. We need a green screen kit with appropriate lights. Additionally, we would like a microphones and splitters for a podcasting solution for radio shows/projects.
My students are a mix of grades 9-12.
They would like experience using green screen, lighting and also podcasting techniques. Some of them would like to do radio shows and this equipment is needed for that. The flash drives are needed to help save their work.
My Project
They will be able to produce unique effects on video using the green screen kit and camcorder. For example, we can design or purchase a Virtual Set for a news show that could look very professional. The podcasting materials will allow students who prefer to express themselves via audio (instead of video) to do so.
We have a huge amount of students signed up to take our video courses, yet, we do not have the equipment to meet this demand.
Our budgets for equipment are also limited. This equipment will help engage the students because it will allow them to be more "hands on" to practice theory taught in class.
