I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom. Students are above, on and below grade level. While I am providing extra support and help to students in small groups, the other students need something worthwhile to work on. This work needs to be meaningful for the students.
Versatiles provide meaningful work that gives the children immediate feedback.
When students are using the Versatiles, they will immediately see how they did and if they made any mistakes. It is self correcting. Feedback is more meaningful the sooner it is given. The work is also fun! Students think they are playing a game. When in reality, they are working hard and learning lots! When fun is had, the children will want to do it more and be engaged and excited about it!
