I teach a class of 27 creative, innovative, and hardworking fourth graders in San Ramon. My students are learning to be strong leaders, and develop personal responsibility inside the classroom and out.
My students love diving deeper into their learning with hands-on activities and engaging discovery opportunities that give them choice and responsibility in their education.
I incorporate a variety of different learning strategies, teaching methods, and seating options to make sure all of the needs of my students are being met.
My Project
My students love to use Versatiles as a way to practice literacy skills that are vital to their success in the classroom. They are extremely engaging, and a fun alternative to worksheets.
As a teacher, I love not only that my students are so excited to use the tool, but because of the self checking nature of the product, they are able to practice revision and correction skills as well.
This gives them so much ownership over their learning, and is teaching them responsibility without them even realizing!
While our class has a set of Versatiles right now, they are outdated and are not compatible with the newer workbooks that go with them. Having a new set of Versatiles would give my students more opportunities to work on skills that are tailored to current standards and skills they need to have.
