Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Kindergarten is an exciting time. Many are coming to school for the very first time. At the beginning of the year we are learning our ABC's and 123's. By the end of the year we are reading, writing and subtracting. There is so much growth in one year.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of curiosity!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. They come to school each day ready to try new things. They are the sweetest bunch around! Truly, they are my inspiration!
My Project
In kindergarten we are learning a large array of math concepts. It is important to give my students as much hands on practice and access to different approaches to math as I can. VersaTiles helps students build math proficiency in a challenging, rewarding way. The classroom kit for kindergarten covers number sense: counting, number naming, comparing, number operations: base ten operations, algebraic thinking, geometry: shapes and attributes, measurement, data, and money.
