My Students

My fifth graders are the most diverse and vibrant group of students I have ever worked with. My classroom is a microcosm of a literal American "melting pot" with students' families representing Nepali, Russian, Turkish, African, Italian, Polish, Iraqi, Vietnamese, Chinese, Jamaican, and Irish heritages! Our strength is in our differences. They work hard to grow into maturity and become prepared for a transition to middle school. In trying to differentiate to their varied needs, we often use centers to offer a variety of activities.

VersaTiles are naturally engaging and allow for students to self-check during differentiated center work!

My Project

VersaTiles are one of the coolest resources out there! They are perfect practice or review for a variety of subjects. They allow students to work independently and self-check their work. Their puzzle format is naturally engaging so students become excited when VersaTiles are an available option!

My class uses centers frequently to allow for differentiation and small group instruction.

If we are able to have a set of VersaTiles, the activities will allow a small group of students to engage in independent practice while other students are learning in a small group. These sets come with a variety of books so there will be something for each learner!
