Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are diverse! We are Puerto Rican, Lebanese, Guatemalan, Syrian, Dominican, Irish, and many more. We come from low and middle income families. 100% of our student recieve free lunch. We excel at learning and we have learning difficulties, but we all have a future. The teachers at our elementary school work daily to give our kids every opportunity to have a bright future.
We are fully aware education is the key.
My first graders walk in to school knowing they are now safe, they are wanted, and I will do everything in my power to protect, love and educate them. They in turn give me "everything they've got".
My Project
My first grade students have the opportunity to work, explore, investigate and problem solve. These VersaTile activities will be used in Literacy and Math rotations. The will work individually and in pairs to complete the activities.
These self-checking puzzles keep the students engaged and excited.
They will be having so much fun trying to get the answer puzzle, they may even forget they are learning.
Your donation will allow my students to learn in a new way, that otherwise would not be possible.
