Our high school is a small, rural high school with approximately 100 students of which more than one third of them qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our sports programs are one of the top in the area and in order to continue with our success we need to update our supplies and equipment! With the restraints of a limited budget we are looking to Donors Choose to help out with our funding. This project will help purchase equipment to finally add pole vault to our track program!
Many students will benefit from this project and we can't wait to start this event that has been missing for so long.
Our school's track program has been fortunate to be successful even without having a track, however by adding pole vault this will allow us to be more competitive as a team instead of giving up these points at a meet because we don't have this event or equipment to practice at our school.
My Project
When this project gets fully funded we will purchase the equipment that is necessary to add pole vault to our track program. By adding this event both the middle school and high school track teams will benefit.
We are excited to add pole vault as we have several athletes that have been waiting to try it!
This project will allow our kids to do just that, in a safe and protective environment.
The main reason we have not added this event to our program is because of the high cost of the equipment - our district cannot afford to purchase this. Thankfully Donors Choose will allow us to do just that!
