My students need Spanish translations of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books to keep them engaged and entertained and to help them bond with peers who are not part of the Immersion Program.

My Students

I teach 3rd grade in a very unique program in Maine. My amazing group of students spend their day learning in Spanish. Everything from reading and writing to math is taught in Spanish.

They are the first group of kids to be part of an immersion program of this type in Maine.

I have had the pleasure of knowing them, and I have quickly realized how incredibly bright they are. They are not only fluent Spanish speakers, but they can also read and write as well as do math almost as well as a native speaker would. They truly are an amazing and unique group of kids!

My Project

My students are learning in Spanish! They have worked for the past 4 years in Spanish in all content areas. They are now fluent and very proficient in the language. They have been asking to read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books, and it would be wonderful to do it in Spanish. We need Spanish translations of these books.

My group is composed of high readers in Spanish, which is their second language, and we are in need of books that will allow them to explore and expand their vocabulary while keeping their interest.

Any books that we can get in Spanish will be very appreciated and used by all!
